This first post is more of an introduction as to who we are, what we do and most importantly, how we differ from the various other platforms where you can buy Graded Pokemon Cards.
As seasoned Pokemon fans and collectors of the TCG we noticed more and more excellent sources and businesses showing up for finding and acquiring Pokemon booster boxes, packs and single cards whether that be English product, Japanese or even Chinese.
The same however, couldn’t be said for finding reliable, trustworthy and consistent websites and platforms for purchasing graded Pokemon cards. Why was this? We’re really not sure.
The websites that did sell graded cards didn’t seem to make it a priority, resulting in: not a lot of choice, or a lot of out of stock product that hadn’t been updated. Our best bet for finding slabs to buy online was usually on one of the various popular second hand marketplaces and whilst this is still a great resource we use to this day with many great sellers, it’s the not so great sellers on those platforms that bring the experience down.
Some of the main problems we came across using second hand marketplace platforms were:
- Blurry low res photos (sometimes even just one photo)
- Poor response time from the seller / Delayed shipping
- Questionable packaging that makes you glad it was a £30 slab and not a £3000 one
